…but without the corporate price tag
Many moons ago, before remote working was even a thing, we built large Citrix servers that served over 100 client users at that time so that they all had a common desktop interface. This was a network admin’s dream as support needs were significantly lower and PC purchases no longer as important as this thin client technology did not require powerful Desktop computers to run, just powerful servers.
Whilst this technology was great, it was also very expensive and went into the thousands to implement and support. This was not something that small businesses could afford to implement.
As time went on, remote working became a thing, and this thin client technology was the ideal solution as it did not need high bandwidth that no one had back then, and it did not need any horrible VPNs to work. During the pandemic when remote working became crucial this thin Client technology was a business life saver.
For small businesses we appreciated that Citrix thin client and Microsoft remote desktop solutions were over the top and cost wise out of their reach. Fortunately, after searching high and wide we managed to find the ideal solution to allow small businesses to have the same functionality as the big corporates by deploying a much cheaper version of this thing client technology. This allowed businesses to have users work from home and enjoy the same speed and security as though they are in the office stop.
